If you have not previously attended an event at Plowmens Park, you may wonder about the site's configuration, what you'll need to bring, and if you might have mobility issues with the site.
Plowmens Park is on the south side of US-30 & BNSF railway. The rustic, outdoor site consists of a roofed & open sided pavilion on concrete. A mostly enclosed, large kitchen, fire pit, and a W/M restroom building approximately 160' from the pavilion. The restrooms have sinks & toilets but no showers. There is a large Porta-Potty. Grass & gravel parking is approximately 150' from Troll. There are no stairs to navigate.
The Pavilion is equipped with 38 6' & 8' metal picnic tables with fixed bench seating. Feast (if held) will take place in the pavilion. Should you wish to sit anywhere else, such as around the bonfire, watching martial activities, or day camps, please bring a chair &/or ground cloth. For the event in 2021, only family groups will be permitted to eat together at the pavilion tables, as there will not be a pavilion feast. Non-family groups will enjoy their boxed repast at their day camp. Please bring appropriate seating.
Parking will be on the grass in front of the main building. Be aware that should it rain heavily, there could be mud, tire rutts, &/or slippery conditions. Do not park directly in front of the building. Should you need any assistance from your car, please contact the Event Steward in advance.
